While you can schedule the release of an entire collection, you can also release videos within a collection based on when a customer first accesses the collection.
In Uscreen we call this Drip, and adding Drip to a collection is a great way to give customers access to videos over time instead of all at once. Common examples of drip include fitness challenges with daily video releases or a series with weekly video releases.
When using Drip, you aren't restricted to release videos one day after another. You can schedule multiple videos to release say, 7 days after the collection is accessed.
Drip releases are based on when the customer first accesses the content. This means they must actually view the collection page in the storefront for the drip counter to begin. If you grant manual access to a collection to a customer, the drip won't begin until they login and view the collection.
Navigate to the collection you want to add drip for under Content > Collections and click Edit. Under the Drip Settings tab click Edit on the video you want to drip and add the number of days to delay the release.
Drip can only be assigned to videos that require access. Free videos are already available for customers so they cannot be dripped.
You can also include an email with the release that will announce the video for the customer by toggling Send email notification.
If a customer loses access to a collection before all videos have been released to them, we store which day in the drip period they lost access. So if they ever gain access again, the release schedule will pick up right where they left off instead of releasing all videos at once if they've been away for an extended period of time.
