Add, Edit, Arrange, and Display a Custom Filter

Custom filters allow your customers to sort content on the catalog page.  All custom filters will appear at the top of the catalog page next to the search function.

Add a Custom Filter

-Navigate to the Content tab

-Select Custom Filter 

-Click Add New

-Enter TitlePosition, and dropdown Options

-Click Create

Edit a Custom Filter

After creating a custom filter, you may need to edit it to include additional dropdown menu options or change the catalog position as you continue to add content.  Editing a custom filter is quick and easy on the Content tab.

To edit a custom filter:

-Navigate to the Content tab

-Select Custom Filter 

-Click Edit on the custom filter needs updated

-Make changes to the custom filter settings and click Update

Arrange Your Custom Filters

Custom Filters help end-users find content in the catalog by allowing them to sort by category, author, and any custom filters you have created and assigned to published videos/collections.  Filter positions allow you to order custom filters from left to right when displayed.

Category and Author will always be displayed first on the left. 

To change the position of a custom filter:

-Navigate to the Content tab and select Custom Filters

-Click Edit on the filter you want to move

-Update the Catalog Position

-Click Update to apply changes

-The filter will move to its new position in the list

-Filters will be displayed in the new order on the catalog

Custom Filters Catalog Display

Custom Filters help end-users find the content they are looking for in the catalog by allowing them to sort by category, author, and any custom filters you have created and assigned to published videos/collections.

When end-users first visit the catalog page, the filter options will be collapsed

End-users can reveal filters by clicking on Filters

Filters will always display Category and Author (if authors are assigned) first and then display custom filters in order from left to right according to their position.  For more information, read this article.
