Using AirPlay (iOS Only)

Device Requirements

  • iOS device running iOS 15 or newer

    • Devices must still be supported by the manufacturer

  • Apple TV HD (4th gen) or Apple TV 4K (5th gen)

  • Smart TV with AirPlay 2 built-in

To Use

  1. Power ON your iOS and AirPlay devices

  2. Connect both devices to the same WiFi network

  3. Open the app and play a video

  4. Tap the AirPlay icon

  5. Select your device from the list

  6. Enter the AirPlay Code when asked

    • The receiver device may show a code when connecting for the first time

  7. Wait for the video to load on the receiving device (TV)

💡 TIP: For the smoothest AirPlay experience, keep your devices updated to their latest versions and ensure both devices are connected to a strong Wi-Fi signal.

AirPlay Troubleshooting

If you don't see the AirPlay icon:

  • Check that your AirPlay device is turned ON and nearby

  • Verify both devices are connected to the same WiFi network

  • Ensure your devices have the latest software updates

  • Restart both your iOS device and AirPlay receiver


Using Chromecast (Android & iOS)

Device Requirements

  • Google Chromecast device (preferably the latest model)

  • Smart TV with Chromecast built-in

  • For iOS: iOS 14.2 or later required

  • Ensure your Chromecast device or TV has the most recent firmware version installed

  • Compatibility issues are possible with older Chromecast models; consider upgrading for better reliability

To Use

  1. Power ON your mobile and Chromecast devices

  2. Connect both devices to the same WiFi network

  3. Open the app and play a video

  4. Tap the Chromecast icon

  5. Select your device from the list

  6. Wait for the video to load on the receiving device (TV)

📝 NOTE: For iOS devices, ensure that permission is enabled in the Settings app. Navigate to Privacy & Security > Local Network.

Chromecast Troubleshooting

If you don't see the Chromecast icon:

  • Check that your Chromecast device is turned ON and nearby

  • Verify both devices are connected to the same WiFi network

  • Ensure your devices have the latest software updates

  • Restart your Wi-Fi router to resolve pot For older Chromecast models, freezing, or disconnections may occur due to unsupported OS versions. Consider upgrading to a newer Chromecast device or TV.ential network conflicts

Known Limitations

  • Multiple Audio Tracks: When casting, only the default audio track is available

  • Background Music: When casting, only the video and its audio will stream to your TV. Music from other apps on your mobile device won't carry over to the TV

  • Watch Analytics: Some watch progress and analytics data may not be accurately tracked when casting

To troubleshoot network issues, restart your Wi-Fi router and ensure there are no other devices consuming bandwidth heavily during casting.

Why does my video quality look poor when casting?

Video quality adjusts automatically based on your network conditions. For better quality, ensure you have a strong, stable WiFi connection.

Can I cast while using a mobile hotspot?

Technically, yes, if both your mobile device and casting device are connected to the mobile hotspot, but it is advisable to use Wi-Fi instead for a more stable and reliable connection.

Why does casting work for some videos but not others?

Some videos may have different encoding or protection settings. Try casting different content to isolate if the issue is specific to certain videos, and also ensure that both devices remain connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

My casting stops after a few minutes. What's happening?

This is typically caused by network instability or your device going to sleep. Check your WiFi connection and adjust your device's sleep settings.

Does casting work with all TVs?

Casting requires either a compatible smart TV with built-in Chromecast/AirPlay 2 or an external device like Chromecast or Apple TV.
