eCommerce Video Player Overlay

Promote your products directly within your videos using the eCommerce overlay feature

The eCommerce overlay is a native feature that allows you to display product information and purchase links directly on your video player. This creates an opportunity to promote physical products, digital goods, or services while your members are engaged with your content.


Set Up a Product

  1. Navigate to Content > Videos

  2. Select the video where you want to add a product

  3. Click More Actions > eCommerce

  4. Click Add Another Product


Create a Product

Fill out the details to set up an effective product overlay.

  • Product link: The URL of your external product (in Shopify, Wix, WooCommerce, etc.) or an affiliate product link.

  • Product image: The system will automatically fetch the image from the linked web page, but if you prefer a different image, click "Remove Image" and then "Upload Image".

💡 TIP: We recommend using a square image of at least 400px x 400px.

  • Overlay Title: The name of your product.

  • Price: The product price.

  • Call to Action Text: A compelling CTA (e.g., "Shop Now", "Learn More").

  • Display length: Duration for how long (in seconds) the overlay will appear.

💡 TIP: We recommend at least 20 seconds of duration.

  • Set Start Time: Timestamp in the player timeline when the overlay starts to appear.


Add Multiple Products

You can add multiple product overlays to a single video.

  1. Click Add Another Product

  2. Follow the same process to set up additional products

  3. Each product can appear at different times in the video

  4. Remember to click Save after adding all your products

💡 TIP: Strategic placement of product overlays can significantly increase conversion rates. Consider placing relevant products at moments when they're being demonstrated or discussed in your video.


Device Compatibility

The eCommerce overlay feature is available on:

  • Web browsers

  • Mobile apps (iOS and Android) version 3.19 or later

📝 NOTE: This feature is not available on TV apps (Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, etc.), hence it will not appear on TV players.

Mobile App Experience

Your eCommerce links will also appear in your mobile apps, providing a consistent experience across devices. The mobile implementation uses an overlay approach that feels similar to YouTube and is consistent with the web experience.

Yes, you can use this feature to promote free content or resources. While you'll need to include a price, you can set it to 0 or Free.

Can I adjust the size or placement of the overlay for mobile devices?

The overlay size automatically adjusts for different screen sizes using responsive design. For best results on mobile, keep your product images clear and simple, as the overlay may appear larger on smaller screens.

Can I use the eCommerce overlay to link to downloadable resources?

Yes, you can use the overlay to direct users to downloadable resources, additional content, or any external URL.

Will the overlay interrupt the viewing experience?

The overlay is designed to be non-intrusive. It appears for the duration you specify and can be dismissed by the viewer if they're not interested.
