We make migrations from another vendor to Uscreen easy! To migrate your customer data to Uscreen from another vendor, follow these steps:

1. Set-up your Uscreen site including all content and subscriptions. To do this you will need to connect your Stripe account to Uscreen. Your Uscreen site should be finalized and ready for customers. Visit our Before Going Live - Checklist to help with this process.

2. If you have ordered a package that includes apps (highly recommended to engage & increase sales), set-up your Uscreen apps and make sure they are live. We will coordinate the release of apps with the our OTT team to ensure a smooth customer migration.

3. Ensure all customers are in Stripe.

NOTE: Stripe is the only fully supported payment provider for Uscreen customers using credit cards. If you are not currently using Stripe as your payment provider, you will have to work with your current payment provider (examples: Braintree, Paypal, Authorize.net) to securely migrate all customer credit card data to Stripe. To do this - contact customer support for your current payment provider to request that they migrate your customer data to Stripe. This process may take several days.

We are not able to migrate payment information for PayPal customers. If you have PayPal customers, we can still migrate their name, email, and access. After the migration, they can reconnect PayPal to their account or enter credit card information.

4. Review Invite User email template (Settings > Emails > Invite User). Edit template to include your updated URL and any other information you would like to share with customers. Ensure #{{user.name}}, #{{user.email}}, and #{{password}} variables are still included in the template so that Uscreen can fill those in for each customer.

NOTE: If you plan to set-up a custom domain with Uscreen, we recommend that this is completed after the customer migration. You Uscreen URL in the invite email will automatically forward customers to the correct website once your Custom Domain has been set-up and pointed to Uscreen.

5. Request a CSV file of customer information from your current provider (Vimeo OTT, Zype, WooCommerce, etc.) The CSV file should include customer full name, customer email, Stripe ID and/or Braintree PayPal ID, and next due date. This file should also include content access information for subscriptions and/or programs which you will match up with the subscriptions and programs in Uscreen.

6. Edit the CSV to include Uscreen subscription and/or program IDs. To locate Uscreen IDs, follow these instructions.

NOTE: Please see the example below before preparing your customer data CSV.


7. Provide the CSV file of customer data to Uscreen Support (support@uscreen.tv). Once the CSV file is received, the migration progress will take approx. five business days. During this time, Uscreen developers will import customers and send the Invite User email with log-in details.

8. After migration is complete, remove any duplicate subscription records from Stripe via the Stripe dashboard. This will ensure customers are not charged twice as they will now be charged from Uscreen.
