If you've got users in another VOD platform we can typically help migrate your users over. Migrations are available to our Pro or Uscreen Plus plans, but if you're on the basic plan we have a guide that should help you migrate as much as possible on your own.
There can be a few caveats here and there but for the most part you should be able to follow these steps:
Talk to us. You can reach our migrations team at migrations@uscreen.tv, let's get a quick conversation going to make sure we cover any unique situations you might be in. We'll better be able to provide a timeline for migrations as they can take some time.
Set-up your Uscreen site including all content and subscriptions. To do this you will need to connect your Stripe account to Uscreen. Your Uscreen site should essentially be ready for launch. Visit our Before Going Live - Checklist to see if you've got everything we recommend done.
Ensure all customers are in a Stripe account. If you are not currently using Stripe as your payment provider, you will have to work with your current payment provider (examples: Braintree, Paypal) to securely migrate all customer credit card data to Stripe. To do this - contact customer support for your current payment provider to request that they migrate your customer data to Stripe. This process may take several days.
Review Invite User email template under Settings > Emails > Invite User. Edit the template to include your updated URL and any other information you would like to share with customers. Ensure #{{user.name}}, #{{user.email}}, and #{{password}} variables are still included in the template so that Uscreen can fill those in for each customer.
Export a list of your users with their Stripe IDs. You can then add the following columns to your spreadsheet for us to import:
- Full Name*
- Email*
- Stripe ID*
- Uscreen Subscription ID
- Next Due Date(*required if assigning a subscription)
- Uscreen Program ID
