DRM Protections Are Coming Soon!
We’re excited to share that DRM (Digital Rights Management) protections will soon be available on Uscreen! DRM adds a robust layer of security, helping to safeguard your content against unauthorized access and distribution.
Visit our Security Settings page to learn more about this feature and stay updated as we get closer to launch.
Current Content Protection Features
While DRM is on its way, Uscreen provides several effective mechanisms to protect your content:
🔒 Transport Layer Security (TLS)
What it does: Encrypts data transferred over the internet, protecting sensitive information such as login credentials and video streams.
How it works: All data sent between your viewers and Uscreen servers is encrypted using the TLS protocol.
Key Detail: Custom domains require SSL certificates, which Uscreen sets up within 48 hours.
👥 IP Concurrent Sessions Limit
What it does: Restricts the number of concurrent logins per IP address, preventing password sharing.
How it works: You can define the maximum number of simultaneous sessions allowed for a single account.
🌍 Geo-Blocking
What it does: Ensures your content is only accessible in authorized regions.
How it works: Set country-specific rules to limit access to videos, your website, or native apps.

🤖 reCAPTCHA
What it does: Detects and blocks bots on your site’s login and checkout pages.
How it works: Google’s reCAPTCHA v3 assigns a “trust score” to user interactions and blocks suspicious activities automatically.
Contact support and request it to be enabled for your storefront.
🔑 Token-Signed URLs
What it does: Prevents unauthorized downloading or embedding of your videos by using secure, time-limited playback links.
How it works: Signed playback URLs include a security token that expires after a specific duration (e.g., one hour plus the length of the video).
If a user pauses a video for longer than the token’s validity, refreshing the page is required to generate a new token.
Note: Tokenized URLs currently do not cover static MP4 downloads. You can request expanded coverage for this feature.
