Download a Video

View how to download videos before or after publication

Updated this week

There may be instances where you will want to download videos from Uscreen. For example, if you have lost your videos and want to recover them, or if you want to edit a live event recording before getting it published, simply download them through Uscreen. The videos can be downloaded either before or after being published.

NOTE: We still recommend you back up your videos on your end as well. You should keep a file on your computer or a 3rd party cloud service with all of your original video files.

Request a Download

To download a video, navigate to Content, go to Videos, select the video you want to download, and click Edit. Under the Video tab, click on the Request Download button located in the lower-left corner of the Video tab.

Upon clicking "Request Download" we will begin processing the request which may take up to 15 minutes to process.

You can feel free to close the tab or navigate away from the page during this time. Once the video is ready for download you will notice the request button becomes a "Download" button.

Important Note: The download link will only be available for 24 hours after we finish processing the request. Please check back on the video download request after 15 minutes to ensure you have enough time to download the video.

Additional Notes:

Please note that in browsers such as Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, the download may open in a new tab. If so, you will have to download the video from that tab.

  • Chrome: in the new tab, click the 3 vertical dots () at the bottom right of the video and select Download.

  • Safari: in the new tab, right-click the screen and select Download Video or Download Video As to save the file to your device.

  • Firefox: in the new tab, right-click the screen and select Save Video As to save the file to your device.

Please note that at the moment, it is not possible to download all of your videos at once. We suggest that you keep a copy of the original file for every video you upload to an external storage service such as Dropbox or Google Drive. This way, you can have a backup copy of your videos and access them anytime you need them.
