Content Analytics Glossary

Use this glossary to understand the key terms and metrics you’ll encounter across the Content Analytics dashboards.

Attendees (Live Events)

The number of users who joined the live stream.

Average Watch Time

The average amount of time viewers spend watching a video or live event per session.

Badges

Rewards earned when users reach milestones for maintaining watch streaks of specific durations.

Calendar Adds

The number of times users added content or events to their calendar. Helps track proactive planning and engagement.

Comments (Engagement Activity)

The number of comments viewers leave on a video, enabling interaction and discussion.

Completion Rate

The percentage of how much of the video was watched in each session, calculated as session duration / content duration.

Countries

Shows where viewers are located geographically, based on watch sessions.

Date Range

A filter to view results between two specific dates, based on the watch session date.

Devices

Indicates which devices viewers are using to watch content (e.g., mobile, desktop, TV, apps).

Engagement Activities

Actions viewers take to interact with your content beyond just watching. These include favorites, likes, comments, playlist adds, calendar adds and video notes.

Favorites (Engagement Activity)

The number of times viewers mark a video as a favorite for quick access later.

Group Subscription

A filter that allows you to view data only for subscribers in Group Subscriptions. Available with the Group Subscription add-on.

Likes (Engagement Activity)

The number of times viewers “like” a comment on a video.

Playlist Adds (Engagement Activity)

The number of times viewers add a video to a personal playlist.

Preregistered (Live Events)

The number of users who signed up before a live event started.

Replays (Live Events)

The number of times a live event recording was watched after the streaming ended.

Streaks

A measure of consecutive days a user watches any video. An Active Streak indicates current ongoing engagement.

Time Frame

A control to determine how the data is aggregated (e.g., by day, week, month, or quarter).

Most Popular Content

Lists of the best-performing content, including videos and live events, based on views.

Video Notes (Engagement Activity)

The number of personal notes viewers save while watching a video.

Viewers

The total number of unique individuals who watched your content. Only logged-in users are counted, unknown viewers without an account are not included.

Views

The total number of times content has been watched. Multiple views from the same person are counted separately.

Watch Time

The total time viewers spent watching your content, measured in hours, minutes or seconds.
