SEO Setup: A Complete Guide

Configure SEO across your Storefront to improve search engine visibility

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is built into various features in Uscreen, helping your video membership business gain visibility in search engines. This guide will walk you through how to optimize your Uscreen site for better search rankings, attract more organic traffic, and grow your audience.

SEO Features in Uscreen for Content

Best Practices for SEO

  • Be descriptive: Use clear, specific titles and descriptions that accurately represent your content

  • Include keywords: Incorporate relevant keywords that your audience might search for

  • Keep it natural: Write for humans first, search engines second

  • Use unique content: Avoid duplicate titles and descriptions across your site

  • Be concise: SEO titles ideally should be under 60 characters, descriptions under 160 characters

Behind-the-Scenes SEO

Uscreen automatically generates several technical SEO elements for your content:

  • Structured data (schema.org) markup is added to your video pages to help search engines understand your content

  • Open Graph and Twitter Card tags are generated from your content — including your video thumbnail — for better link previews when your pages are shared

  • A canonical URL is set on each page to indicate its primary version to search engines

📝 NOTE: These features help make your content more discoverable, but search engines ultimately control crawling, indexing, and ranking.

Uscreen doesn't guarantee specific search rankings, indexing, or traffic — results depend on your content, domain, and ongoing external SEO efforts.

Request Recrawling and Reindexing

When you make SEO changes to your content, search engines need to recrawl your pages to recognize these updates. Here's how to request recrawling:

Google Search Console

  1. Create or log in to your Google Search Console account

  2. Add and verify your website domain if you haven't already

  3. Once verified, go to URL Inspection in the left menu

  4. Enter the full URL of the page you want to recrawl

  5. Click Request Indexing

Bing Webmaster Tools

  1. Add and verify your site if you haven't already

  2. Navigate to Configure My Site > Submit URLs

  3. Enter the URLs you want to recrawl (up to 10 per day)

  4. Click Submit

Submitting Your Sitemap

For broader reindexing, submit your sitemap to search engines.

📝 NOTE: Search engines control the crawling and indexing process. While requesting recrawling or reindexing can expedite the process, it may still take time for changes to appear in search results.

Even with perfect SEO settings, ranking well in search results takes time and consistent effort. Continue adding quality content, optimizing your existing pages, and promoting your content elsewhere (like your own blog, newsletter, and social channels) for the best results.
