Custom User Fields

Gather additional information from new sign-ups

During the checkout sign-up process, customers are required to enter their full name and email address. You can add up to three custom text fields to collect additional information from customers.

These fields are great for gathering strategic information, such as how customers heard about you, what content they're most excited to watch, or other details that can help you understand your audience better.


Create your custom User Fields

  1. Navigate to Settings > User Fields

  2. Add up to three custom text fields to appear on the signup page

  3. Click Save

💡 TIP: Use strategic questions in your custom fields to gain valuable insights about your audience and their preferences. This information can help you tailor your content and marketing strategies.


See how they look at the Checkout

Your created User Fields will be placed under the default Name and Email fields.

📝 NOTE: Custom user fields cannot be mandatory. All custom user fields are optional to be filled out.


Where to find User Field responses

You can view the information collected through custom user fields in two main places.

Individual User Profiles

  1. Navigate to People

  2. Search for the specific user and Edit

  3. Check the About section to see their responses to custom fields

Exported User Data

  1. Navigate to People

  2. Click Export CSV and select People Table

  3. Navigate to Settings > Exported Files

  4. Download the exported CSV file

  5. The exported file will contain all user field information


FAQs

Will custom field data be sent to my integrated marketing tools?

Yes, custom field data is included in the User Created webhook payload and can be sent to external services that are integrated with your Uscreen account.

Can I change my custom fields after users have already signed up?

Yes, you can change your custom fields at any time, but the new fields will only apply to new sign-ups. Existing users' data for previous fields will remain in their profiles.
