Storefront Maintenance Mode

Make site changes safely while keeping your storefront visitors informed

Updated yesterday

Maintenance Mode is a feature that allows you to make changes to your Uscreen site without disrupting your customers.

When enabled, it displays a Down For Maintenance message to visitors while allowing admins to continue working on the site.

Toggle Maintenance Mode

  1. Navigate to Website

  2. Go to the Advanced tab in the editor side panel

  3. Scroll down to find the Maintenance Mode toggle

  4. Click the toggle button to enable or disable the option

  5. Confirm the pop-up prompt

  6. Click Save & Apply

How Maintenance Mode Works

For Admins

  • Logged in as an admin, you will have full access to all pages

  • The banner will indicate that Maintenance Mode is Enabled

  • The storefront will appear live to you even when maintenance mode is enabled

💡 TIP: To see how your site appears to visitors, sign out of your admin account. To log back in, click the Admin Login link on the maintenance page

For Visitors

  • Visitors will see a Down For Maintenance page instead of your site content

  • They won't be able to make purchases or view content while maintenance mode is active

  • Even if visitors try to log in, they will be redirected to the maintenance page

Important Notes & Troubleshooting Tips

  • Maintenance mode is primarily needed if you have an active customer base

  • If you're just starting to develop your storefront without active customers, you don't need to use maintenance mode

  • When launching your site through the onboarding process, maintenance mode will be automatically disabled
