This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to check if your Google developer account is registered as an ‘Individual' or an ‘Organization'. This is important for managing expectations regarding the services and capabilities available to your developer account.
Introduction
Before you can launch a new Android app with Uscreen, you must confirm that your Google Play Developer account is set up as an Organization. Uscreen exclusively supports Google Play Business accounts for new launches to bypass the restrictive testing requirements tied to personal accounts.
How to Check Your Account Type
Visit the Google Play Console.
Log in with your Google account credentials.
Select your account profile
Click on Account details in the left navigation pane.
Locate the Account type field to see whether your account is listed as an Individual or an Organization.
📝 NOTE: If your account is listed as an Individual, you can change it to an Organization in place, under Developer account > About you > Change account type. You will need an organization payments profile, your D-U-N-S number, and a verified organization website. Creating a brand new account is no longer required.
