RSS Feed for Apple Reviews

For easier monitoring, you can use Apple's RSS feed:

Step 1: Find your App ID

First, find your App ID using one of these methods:

  • From the App Store URL: Open your app's page in the App Store and look for the number after "id" in the URL

    • Example: https://apps.apple.com/app/your-app-name/id1234567890

  • From App Store Connect: Go to App Information for your app

Step 2: Create your RSS feed URL

Use the template below, replacing the value with your App ID:

https://itunes.apple.com/rss/customerreviews/id=YOUR-APP-ID/sortby=mostrecent/xml

Step 3: View the RSS feed

Use an RSS reader like RSS Viewer to display the reviews in a readable format.

For this example below, we've used an online RSS reader.

💡 TIP: This will allow you to check your App Store reviews more comfortably.

FAQs

How often should I check app reviews?

We recommend checking at least 2-3 times per week. For apps with high user activity, daily monitoring may be necessary.

Should I respond to negative reviews?

Yes, responding professionally to negative reviews shows you value feedback and are committed to improving. Many users update their reviews after receiving a thoughtful response.

Can I get notified immediately when someone leaves a review?

Google Play offers email notifications for new reviews. For Apple, you'll need to use a third-party service that monitors the RSS feed or check App Store Connect regularly.

Do app reviews affect my app's visibility in stores?

Absolutely. Both Google and Apple consider ratings and reviews as ranking factors. Apps with ratings above 4.0 stars typically have better visibility in search results.
