Calendar Push Notifications & Templates

Automate member engagement and boost retention with smart calendar notifications

Updated today

Calendar push notifications are one of the most powerful automated engagement tools in your Uscreen toolkit.

Unlike manual marketing push notifications that you send individually, calendar push notifications work automatically, reminding your mobile audience about newly released content, upcoming live events, and scheduled videos with minimal effort on your part.

By customizing these notification templates to match your brand voice or translating them into your members' preferred language, you can create a personalized experience that keeps your audience engaged and coming back for more.

💡 TIP: Content placed on the calendar gets 12x more viewers! Calendar push notifications ensure your members never miss scheduled content.

Why Calendar Push Notifications Matter

Calendar push notifications are more than just reminders—they're a retention and revenue driver:

  • Increase member engagement and retention - Keep members active and coming back

  • Build consistent viewing habits - Regular notifications create routine engagement

  • Reduce churn - Active members are less likely to cancel

  • Save time with automation - Set it once and let the system work for you

  • Drive content discovery - Help members find and watch more of your content

ℹ️ INFO: Many creators haven't yet enabled calendar push notifications, which means you have an opportunity to stand out and stay top-of-mind with your members through automated, timely reminders about your content.

FAQs

What's the difference between calendar push notifications and marketing push notifications?

Calendar push notifications are automatic and triggered by your calendar content (live events, published videos, scheduled videos). Marketing push notifications are manually created and sent by you to promote specific content, announcements, or campaigns.

Can I send calendar push notifications in languages other than English?

Yes! You can customize all calendar push notification templates to translate them into any language your audience speaks. This is especially valuable since 21% of stores use non-English languages.

Will members receive too many notifications?

Members have full control and can disable calendar notifications in their app settings (Account > Notifications). You can also be strategic about which notification types you enable to avoid overwhelming your audience.

Can I see who received my calendar push notifications?

Currently, calendar push notifications are automatic and don't provide individual delivery reports. However, you can track overall engagement through Calendar Analytics.

What happens if a member adds their own video to the calendar?

Push notifications are only sent for events set by an admin. If a user adds a video to their personal calendar, they won't receive a notification.

Do I receive calendar notifications as an admin?

No, admins will not receive calendar event notifications. These notifications are designed for members using the app.

Why aren't special characters displaying correctly in my notifications?

Push notifications have character encoding limitations. Special characters (such as &, %, #) and certain spacing formats may not display correctly. Use plain text and emojis only for best results.
