The Calendar is a powerful tool that helps your members discover content, follow your programming schedule, and build consistent viewing habits.
This feature is excellent for encouraging your audience to return for your latest scheduled content. It also guides them on what to watch and when, which is especially helpful for those with a very large catalog or members unsure of where to start.
📝 NOTE: The Calendar feature is available for Uscreen Plus. If you're not currently on this plan, please get in touch with sales@uscreen.tv to discuss an upgrade.
Enable the Feature
Calendar is available on Plus plans and can be enabled in a few simple steps.
Navigate to Content > Calendar
Click the Add to Calendar button if you haven't enabled it before
Otherwise, select Enabled from the dropdown
Click Save
ℹ️ INFO: For the website, you will need to add the Calendar to your navigation.
For mobile apps, the Calendar will appear automatically for version 3.11 or later.
Views and Interface
Web Calendar Views
The web calendar offers two different viewing options to suit your members' preferences. Members can toggle between these views using the view selector at the top left of the calendar page.
List View
Shows content in a chronological list format, which can be more convenient for scrolling through upcoming content
Calendar View
Displays content in a traditional monthly calendar format, making it easy to see the distribution of content across days
Mobile App Calendar
On mobile apps, the calendar appears as a dedicated tab in the bottom navigation menu. The interface is optimized for touch interaction, allowing members to:
Scroll through days and weeks
Tap on content to view details
See visual indicators for completed videos and live events

Roku Calendar
On Roku devices, the calendar is accessible through the main menu and displays scheduled content in a TV-friendly format that's easy to navigate with a remote control.
Visual Indicators and Status Markers
The calendar uses clear visual indicators to help members understand content status at a glance.
These visual cues make it easy for members to track their progress and identify new or upcoming content without having to read descriptions.
Content Indicators
Green checkmark → Video viewed
member has completed watching a video on that date
Gray dot → Scheduled live event
live stream is planned for that date and time
Red dot → Live event happening now
live stream is currently in progress
Blue dot → Video available
one or more videos are available on that date
Streaks and Activity Tracking
Full green circle with a line connector → Streak
member has watched content on consecutive days
Faded green circle with line break → Streak break
a break in an active streak

Add Content to the Calendar
As an Admin
You can easily add content to your calendar.
Navigate to Content > Calendar
Select a day or click Add to Calendar
Search for and select the desired video
Click Save
💡 TIP: You can add multiple videos to each day, and the videos will display in the order they were added.
Live events automatically appear on the calendar while scheduled videos appear on the calendar before their release date.
As a Member
Members can personalize their calendar experience by adding videos they want to watch. This personalization helps members create their own viewing schedule while still seeing your admin-scheduled content.
Log in to the website
Search for and click the video thumbnail from the Catalog
Click Add to Calendar under the video player
Select Add to Calendar from the choices
Specify the desired date using the date picker
Click Add to my calendar
Content Organization on the Calendar
Content is automatically organized by priority on the calendar.
Highest to Lowest Priority
Ongoing live events
Scheduled videos and live events
User-added content
Regular admin-added videos (ordered by time added)
Completed videos (marked by your members)
ℹ️ INFO: This prioritization ensures the most timely and relevant content is always most visible to your members.
Calendar Push Notifications
One of the most powerful aspects of the Calendar feature is automatic push notifications that remind your mobile audience about newly released content, upcoming live events, and scheduled calendar videos.
Set Up Calendar Push Notifications
Navigate to Content > Calendar
Select Settings > Mobile Notifications
Enable/disable each type of notification
Edit the templates, if necessary
Click Save

These notifications can be triggered at specific times.
💡 TIP: Mobile app users may enable/disable these notifications independently on the app (Account > Notifications) installed on their devices.

Customize Push Notification Templates
You can personalize your calendar push notifications to match your brand voice or translate them into different languages.
Navigate to Content > Calendar
Select Settings > Mobile Notifications
Click Edit Templates
Choose the type of notification to edit
Input the Title (up to 65 characters)
Input the Push Body (up to 178 characters)

Collections cannot be added to the calendar. Only individual videos and live events can be added to specific dates.

Currently, videos display in the order they are added to the calendar. There is no drag-and-drop support to reorder them.

Since live events are automatically added when scheduled, the finished event may not be removed from the Calendar. A workaround is to delete the content (live stream) itself.
Do admins receive calendar notifications?

Admins will not receive calendar event notifications. These notifications are designed for members only.

Currently, there is no feature to change the calendar start day in Uscreen.

Currently, push notifications are only sent for events set by an admin. If a user adds a video to their calendar, they won't get notified of it.

Uscreen doesn't offer the ability to create multiple calendars, like 7-day or 30-day calendars. As an admin, you can only modify one site-wide calendar that appears for all users.
