What Changed
Amazon's newest Fire TV Sticks, the Fire TV Stick 4K Select and the 2026 Fire TV Stick HD, run a brand-new operating system called Vega OS. It replaces Fire OS, the platform your current Fire TV app was built for.
So an app built for older Fire TV hardware does not run on these new sticks.
This is an industry-wide shift, not something specific to Uscreen, so all streaming apps need to be rebuilt to support Vega OS.
Your existing Fire TV app continues to work normally on all Fire OS-based devices. Only the newest Vega OS models are affected.
What Uscreen did about it
We built a version of the app for these new Vega OS devices.
Uscreen supports Amazon Fire TV on both Fire OS and the new Vega OS devices. If your Amazon app was built before August 2026, we add the Vega build to your existing listing on request.
It is the same app with the same features. It comes from the same listing in the Amazon Appstore, so there is nothing extra to find or download.
The only difference is Vega supports sign-in only, not in-app subscriptions. So encourage any members with Vega devices to subscribe on web or mobile.
Apps on older Fire TV devices keep working exactly as before.

Android TV: install your app from the Google Play Store
iPhone or iPad: install your app from the App Store

Any web browser: members can sign in and stream directly from your website

Chromecast and AirPlay are not supported on Vega OS devices. However, Android users can mirror their screen using Miracast or other third-party mirroring software. Note that Miracast is not available on iPhone or iPad.
