Once the stream ends, you can download the full conversation as a transcript for insights, record-keeping, or moderation review.
Requirements
The live stream must have had Live Chat enabled
The stream must have finished
đ NOTE: Transcripts are not generated retroactively. Only streams that finished after the chat archive feature launched will have a transcript available.
Download the Chat Transcript
Navigate to Content > Live Streaming
Select a Finished live stream that had Live Chat enabled
Click Attendees
Next to Export CSV, click Download Chat
âšď¸ INFO: The file downloads immediately, and the transcript is also logged in Settings > Exported Files as a record of the export. This entry is for reference only, and there's no Download button there, so if you need the file again, return to the Attendees page and click Download Chat again.
What's Included
The chat transcript downloads as a CSV file, with one row per chat message or event.

Yes, the chat transcript downloads are available for all stores. The only requirements are that your live stream had Live Chat enabled and has finished.

Chat transcripts are only generated for streams that ended after the chat archive feature launched. If a stream finished before this feature was available, there's no transcript for it, and it can't be generated retroactively.
If I duplicate a live event, will the copy include the original's chat archive?
If I duplicate a live event, will the copy include the original's chat archive?
No. When you duplicate a live event, the new event starts fresh, so the original event's chat archive is not carried over to the copy. Each event's transcript belongs to that event only.
