Resources Overview

Enhance your content and provide extra value with downloadable resources for your members

Updated yesterday

Resources allow you to provide supplementary materials alongside your video content. For example, if you're teaching a class, you might want to offer assignments, worksheets, or reference materials for your students to download and use.

Resources are uploaded and managed under the Content tab in Resources. Once uploaded, these items can be associated with specific videos, collections, or live events.

ℹ️ INFO: Our resource file limit is 100 MB per file. Please compress your files or use an external cloud storage provider for larger file sizes.

Member View & Access

Video & Livestream

Once resources have been assigned to content, they will be visible to members under the Description tab on the video player page. From there, they can download all the files you have added.

📝 NOTE: The resources are Gated along with the content it is associated with, so only members with access to the content can download their resources.

ℹ️ INFO: Hovering over the resource will display its description.

Collections

For collections, resources appear under the collection's description on the Collection Homepage.

The Collection Playlist page will show the resources of the individual videos inside the collection.

🔗 Learn more about the Collection Playlist Page

ℹ️ INFO: The videos included in the collection playlist can have different resources than the collection itself. Resources attached to a collection are separate from resources attached to individual videos within that collection.

Resources on Mobile Apps

Resources associated with collections and videos can be downloaded on both our web version and mobile apps. They appear under the Description tab on the video player page.

📝 NOTE: Download times may vary depending on factors like file size, internet connection speed, and device performance.

Best Practices for Using Resources

  • Keep file sizes manageable

    • Compress files when possible to ensure quick downloads for your members.

  • Use clear file names

    • Make your resource names descriptive so members understand what they're downloading.

  • Organize resources effectively

    • Add them to specific videos or collections for easy access.

  • Highlight availability

    • Let your members know when resources are available for specific content.

  • Consider resource types

    • Different content may benefit from different types of resources (worksheets for educational content, reference materials for instructional videos, etc.).

FAQs

Why can't my members see or access resources?

This typically occurs because:

  1. The member doesn't have access to the content the resource is attached to

  2. The resource wasn't properly saved/attached to the content

  3. The member is looking in the wrong place for the resource

Verify that the resource is properly attached to the content and that the member has the appropriate access level to view the content.

Can I replace a resource after uploading it?

While there's no direct "replace" function, you can effectively replace a resource by uploading the new resource and attaching it to the contents.

Are resources available offline?

Resources need to be downloaded while online. Once downloaded, they can be accessed offline on the member's device.
