Use Zapier to connect Uscreen with your email marketing and automation tools.
The use cases below use Uscreen as the trigger source, so when something happens in Uscreen (a new customer signs up, a purchase is made, a subscription is cancelled), Zapier fires an action in a connected app automatically.
📝 NOTE: These use cases assume you've already connected Uscreen to Zapier and are familiar with the basics of building Zaps. If you're just getting started, see the guides below first.

GetResponse: Sync Contacts & Segment by Purchase
GetResponse is an email marketing platform you can use to build targeted campaigns for your Uscreen audience. Here are three common Zaps to set up.
Add New Customers as Contacts
Trigger: Uscreen New User
Action: GetResponse Create Contact
Every time a new customer is created in Uscreen, this Zap adds them to GetResponse as a contact. This keeps your mailing list in sync automatically without any manual exports.
Segment Customers by Purchase
Trigger: Uscreen Paid Order
Action: GetResponse Create Contact (with a Filter step)
Use a Filter step between the trigger and action to route customers into different lists based on what they purchased. For example, you can send monthly subscribers to one list and annual subscribers to another, then target each group with campaigns tailored to their plan.
Remove Cancelled Subscribers from your List
Trigger: Uscreen Canceled Subscription
Action: GetResponse Update Contact
When a subscription is cancelled, this Zap can remove the contact from your active marketing list, or move them to a "Churned" segment so you can send win-back campaigns.
💡 TIP: The Paid Order and Canceled Subscription triggers work well together. Use the Paid Order Zap to add customers to an active segment and the Canceled Subscription Zap to move them out automatically when they leave.
Mailchimp: Segment Contacts by Paid and Unpaid
This setup uses three Zaps to keep your Mailchimp audiences accurate as customers move through their lifecycle in Uscreen.
Zap 1: Add new customers to an Unpaid Customer audience
Trigger: Uscreen New User
Action: Mailchimp Add/Update Subscriber → assign to your Unpaid Customer audience
Every new Uscreen customer is automatically added to Mailchimp as an unpaid contact, ready for nurture campaigns.
Zap 2: Move paying customers to a Paid Customer audience
Trigger: Uscreen Paid Order
Action: Mailchimp Add/Update Subscriber → move to your Paid Customer audience
When a customer makes a purchase, this Zap updates their audience in Mailchimp from Unpaid to Paid automatically.
💡 TIP: New customers may briefly sit in the Unpaid audience before completing a purchase. To avoid sending conflicting welcome and paid emails too close together, add a delay to any emails sent to the Unpaid Customer audience.
Zap 3: Handle Cancelled Subscriptions
Trigger: Uscreen Canceled Subscription
Action: Mailchimp Add/Update Subscriber → move to a Canceled Subscriber audience
When a subscription is cancelled, this Zap shifts the contact into a separate audience so you can target them with re-engagement campaigns or win-back offers.
Split Name Field for Email Personalization
Uscreen's checkout only requires a single Name field, so customers may enter just a first name or a full name. If your email tool requires separate first and last name fields for personalization, you can use Zapier's built-in Formatter to split the name automatically.
📝 NOTE: This works best when customers voluntarily enter both a first and last name at checkout. If only one name is entered, the split will return just that single value.
How to Set It Up
In your Zap, add an Action step after your Uscreen trigger
Select Formatter by Zapier as the app
Choose Text as the Action Event and click Continue
In the Configure step, open the Transform dropdown and select Split Text
In the Input field, map the Name field from your Uscreen trigger
In the Separator field, enter a space (or use the special character
[:space:])From the Segment Index dropdown, select All (as Separate Fields)
Click Continue, then Test & Review
If the test is successful, Zapier will return the name split into separate fields (e.g., "John" and "Doe"). You can then use these output fields in any downstream action, such as mapping First Name and Last Name individually into your email tool or CRM.
Buy One Get One Free Promotion
Automatically send a unique coupon code to every paying customer so they can gift or use a free purchase. This Zap uses Uscreen, Google Sheets, and your email tool of choice.
📝 NOTE: This is recommended for TVOD (one-time purchases) only. Using it for subscriptions requires additional manual steps; see Redeem/Apply Coupon Codes and Adjust Existing Subscription Price for context.
Before You Start
Multi-step Zaps require a paid Zapier plan
Create your coupon codes in the Uscreen Admin Area or request a bulk set of random codes for Uscreen Premium plans
Set up a Google Sheets spreadsheet with two columns: Coupon (list all your codes) and Used (set every row to "No")
How to Set It Up
Trigger: Connect Uscreen and select the Paid Order trigger
Filter: Add a Filter by Zapier step, and set it to continue only if Total Price is greater than 0. This prevents the Zap from firing on free orders and creating an endless loop of free coupons
Look up a coupon: Connect Google Sheets and add a Lookup Spreadsheet Row step. Use the Used column to find the next available (unused) coupon code
Mark the coupon as used: Add an Update Spreadsheet Row step to set that row's Used value to "Yes", to ensure no two customers receive the same code
Send the coupon: Add a final step using your preferred email app (Email by Zapier, Mailchimp, Drip, or any Zapier-compatible tool) to send the coupon code to the customer. Use variables from the previous steps to personalize the email dynamically
💡 TIP: Use the Name variable from the Uscreen trigger to address the customer by name in the coupon email. If you need separate first and last name fields, add the Split Name Field step described above before this action.

My Zap is triggering, but the action isn't completing, so what should I check?
First, check the Zap's task history in Zapier for error details. Common issues include a missing or mismatched field mapping, a filter step blocking the action, or an authentication problem with the connected app. Re-test the Zap using Zapier's built-in test tool to isolate the step that's failing.
