Schedule a Video Release Date

Build anticipation and let Uscreen handle the rest by scheduling your videos to go live exactly when you want

Updated over a week ago

The ability to schedule a video for release gives you greater flexibility in managing your available content. This control over when content becomes available is especially useful for timed events or coordinated launches.

Once the scheduled date and time are reached, the video will automatically be set to Published, making it visible on your catalog.

๐Ÿ“ NOTE: As with all published content, scheduled videos will still need to be assigned a Category, otherwise they will not be visible for your members even after the scheduled release.

How to Schedule a Video Release

  1. Navigate to Content > Videos

  2. Select and edit the video you want to schedule

  3. Scroll to the Visibility section

  4. Choose Scheduled

  5. Select the date and time of release using the datepicker

  6. Optionally enable the email notification

  7. Click Save Changes

๐Ÿ’ก TIP: The video release time follows the time zone set in Settings > General.

Coming Soon in Catalog (Feature Preview)

Scheduled videos now automatically appear in your catalog with a Coming Soon label before their release date. This creates anticipation and lets your members know new content is on the way. No additional setup is required.

Members can also click Notify Me on a scheduled video to receive a push notification or email the moment it goes live.

Send an Email Notification (Optional)

You can also choose to notify your members via email when a scheduled video is released.

To do so, simply check the box that reads Send Email to Customers when scheduling a video release.

You may also choose to modify the email template using the Edit button, if desired.

๐Ÿ“ NOTE: The notification will only be sent to members who have access to the scheduled video on release and are opted-in to email notifications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What timezone does the scheduled release follow?

The release time is based on the timezone set under Settings > General and not your local device timezone. Uscreen's system time is EST, but your scheduled content will follow whichever timezone you've configured.

Can I schedule multiple videos at once?

No, each video must be scheduled individually. There is currently no bulk scheduling option.

Will members receive the notification email at the exact moment the video is published?

Yes, if Send email to customers is enabled, the notification is sent as soon as the video goes live at its scheduled time.

I scheduled a video for release, but my end-users still cannot see it after the scheduled date.

Ensure that the video is also assigned a category and subscription plan before scheduling it for release. Otherwise, it will not be viewable for your members.
