What Are Gift Offers
Gift Offers let your customers buy a specific subscription or bundle from your storefront and share it with someone else via a unique link. They're perfect for:
Growing your audience through word-of-mouth referrals
Boosting revenue during peak gifting seasons
Converting gift recipients into long-term paying subscribers
💡 TIP: Gift recipients who enjoy their experience are likely to continue as paying members once the gift period ends, making this a powerful customer acquisition tool.
Setting Up the Gift Offers
Setting up Gift Offers for your storefront is simple and takes just a few steps.
Enable & Configure Gifts
Navigate to Marketing > Gifts
Click Settings

Select Enabled
Specify which subscriptions and bundles can be gifted
Click Save

📝 NOTE: Subscriptions and bundles must be set to Public in order to be selected in the dropdown menu. Private subscriptions and bundles will not appear as available gift options.
Manage Gift Visibility
Make it easy for customers to find and purchase gifts.
Option 1: Footer Navigation (Default)
By default, a Buy Gift Card link is included in your storefront footer
If you've previously disabled it, you may simply re-enable it by clicking Show on website navigation in your navigation footer settings

How Buyers Purchase Gift Offers
Your customers can easily purchase gifts directly from your storefront.
Step 1: Access the Gift Offers Page
Buyers can find Gift Offers in two ways:
Footer Link: Click Buy Gift Card in your website footer
Direct URL: Visit

💡 TIP: Share the direct URL in email campaigns, social media posts, or holiday promotions to drive gift purchases.
Step 2: Sign up or Sign In
Before purchasing, buyers must create an account or log in to their existing account.

Step 3: Select the Gift
Buyers choose the subscription or bundle they'd like to gift and select the duration (e.g., 1 month, 3 months, etc.).
ℹ️ INFO: The dropdown menu will only display the subscriptions and bundles that you've configured as available gifts in your Gift Settings.
Step 4: Complete the Purchase
Enter payment information and click Buy Gift
to confirm the purchase.
ℹ️ INFO: Buyers can use a saved payment method from their account if one exists, or they can add and use a different payment method during checkout.
Step 5: Receive the Gift Code
After purchase, buyers receive:
A confirmation page
An email containing the redemption link
Access to the gift link from their purchase history under Account > Purchases

How Recipients Redeem a Gift
The redemption process is simple and user-friendly:
Open the Gift Link
Recipients use the unique link shared by the buyer
(e.g.,
.../gift_cards/redemptions/new?c=GIFTCODE)
Claim the Gift
Recipients either create a new account or sign in with their existing account to activate the gift
ℹ️ INFO: In rare instances where the recipient does not receive the email containing the redemption link, admins can provide the gift code directly. The recipient can then redeem it as a coupon code at checkout when purchasing the associated subscription or bundle.
Resending Gift Codes to Buyers
If a buyer loses their gift code or didn't receive the redemption link, you can easily retrieve and resend it.
Admin Method
Go to Marketing > Gifts
Find the gift in the list and check if the status is Pending (not yet redeemed)
Click Show Code
to reveal the gift codeManually send the code to the buyer via email
Buyer Self-Service
Buyers can sign in to their account, go to Account > Purchases, and click Share Gift
to resend the link themselves.
💡 TIP: Check the status to confirm whether a gift has been redeemed. The status Pending means it's still available to redeem and use.

Yes! While a gift has not yet been redeemed by the recipient, you can easily refund it. Once you refund the invoice associated with the gift purchase, it will automatically void the gift code, making it unusable. This ensures that recipients cannot redeem gifts that have already been refunded.

No, coupon codes are not currently supported for Gift purchases. Coupons only work for direct subscription, bundle, or content purchases on the main checkout.
