This comprehensive guide explores advanced coupon techniques, from automatically applying discounts via custom URLs to managing special cases for existing subscribers and completed transactions.

Coupons for Existing Subscribers

As an admin, you can manually apply coupons to a subscriber's account.

  3. On the Account Profile card, click Manage Membership

  4. Select Apply Coupon to Membership

  5. Choose from your list of coupons and click Apply

Automatically Apply Code via Checkout URL

You can create special URLs that automatically apply coupon codes during checkout, eliminating the need for users to manually enter them.

Create Auto-Apply Coupon Links

  1. Create your Coupon Code

  2. Copy your subscription or bundle checkout link

  3. Add &d=[coupon_code] to the end of the URL

Example:

  • Original URL: https://example.com/checkout/new?o=123456

  • Coupon Code: BIRTHDAY

  • Final URL: https://example.com/checkout/new?o=123456&d=BIRTHDAY

When users click or go through this link, they'll go straight to checkout with the discount automatically applied. New users will create an account first, while existing users will need to sign in.

💡 TIP: This method is perfect for email campaigns, social media promotions, and landing pages where you want to streamline the purchase process.
