While Uscreen is designed to help you monetize your video content, offering free access strategically can serve as an effective marketing tactic. It allows you to attract new viewers, demonstrate your value, grow your email list, and convert free users into paying subscribers over time.

Types of Free Access You Can Offer
Uscreen provides several ways to share content for free.
Let's explore how to set up each type.
ℹ️ INFO: When a user applies a 100% off coupon, no platform fees are charged. Uscreen does not collect fees for subscriptions or content offered at zero cost.
Free Video
Making individual videos free is perfect for teasers, introductory content, or promotional material.
Navigate to Content > Videos
Create or find the specific video and click Edit
Scroll down to the Access section
Select Free for all users
Click Save Changes
💡 TIP: "Free for all users" videos are accessible to everyone without needing a login or payment information. This is ideal for promotional content that introduces your brand.
Free Collection
Collections allow you to group related videos together.
Navigate to Content > Collections
Create or find the specific collection and click Edit
Scroll down to the Access section
Select Free for all users
Click Save Changes
📝 INFO: Making a collection free gives users access to all of the videos included in its playlist, but not automatically to the individual videos.
Free Bundle
Bundles are a powerful way to offer free content while requiring users to create an account. This helps you capture user information while providing value.
Create a Freebie bundle
Navigate to Bundles
Click New Bundle
Select Freebie
Set up your bundle
Add a title, description, and image
Select the content to include (videos or collections)
Decide whether you want the bundle to be assigned automatically to new users, and toggle the Automatic assignment option
Choose whether to make it public or private
Click Save
ℹ️ INFO: Freebie bundles require users to create an account, but won't require payment information. This is great for lead generation.
Free Subscription
You can offer a limited number of free subscriptions using 100% off coupons.
Create a 100% Off Coupon
Navigate to Marketing > Coupons
Click New Coupon
Name your coupon code
Set the Discount Percentage to 100%
Select the subscription plan(s) it applies to
Set Duration to Forever for permanent free access
Optionally, set redemption limits or expiration dates
Click Create
💡 TIP: If a coupon is set to Forever, the checkout will not require a payment method. For all other durations, a payment method will still be required.
Share or Apply the Coupon Code
Distribute the coupon code to users you want to give free access to. They'll need to enter this code during checkout.
Admins may apply the coupon for existing subscribers.
Append the code to the URL of the subscription
Require Account Creation for Free Access
If you want to offer free content while still collecting user information, there are three options:
Option 1: Require Sign-Up on the Products Page
Make a video, collection, or live event free for members only. Visitors create an account with their email before they can watch.
Navigate to Products
Click New Product
Under Price existing content, choose Video, Collections, or Live event
Select the content you want to price, then click Set price
Select Free, then choose Require sign-up
Click Save
Visitors see Sign up to watch on the program page. They enter their email, click Create Account, and the checkout total shows Free. Once they’re signed in, they can watch on the web and in your apps.
💡 TIP: If you don’t want to require visitors to create an account, choose Open for all instead.
ℹ️ INFO: Require sign-up is available on stores that use the Products page, which is currently in a limited pilot. If you don’t see it, use one of the other options below.

Option 2: Gated Content with Freebie Bundle
Set your content to Gated
Unassign any subscription plans or remove any pricing options
Create a Freebie Bundle and add this content to it
Share the bundle link with your audience
Option 3: Giveaway Funnel
Go to Marketing > Giveaway Funnels
Select the video to offer for free
Insert the funnel link into a Landing Page CTA
Share the generated link with your audience
