Where's My PayPal Payout?
Updated over 2 months ago

As a Uscreen store admin, knowing when and how you receive payouts is essential for managing your business smoothly. Your payout method depends on which PayPal integration you’re using: Legacy PayPal or PayPal 2.0. Below is a breakdown of how each option works, including payout schedules, fees, and processing timelines.

🕰 Legacy PayPal

If you're using the Legacy PayPal integration, your payouts follow these guidelines:

  • Payout Schedule: Payouts occur on the first business day of every month. These payouts include all transactions that were successfully processed and cleared in the previous month.

    • Payouts are processed on the 1st business day of every month, provided it’s not a US bank holiday, however, it can take between 7 to 14 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on the payout method. If after this period you have still not received your Payout, please contact billing@uscreen.tv.

  • Payment Processing: After a customer completes a transaction, the funds are initially collected by Uscreen. Uscreen then aggregates all store earnings over the month. At the start of the following month, Uscreen transfers the total earnings to your connected PayPal account.

    • Funds are held for 30 days from the date of the transaction to be available for any needed refunds to end-users. Available payout funds are then calculated/processed on the 1st business day of the following month.

  • Clearing Period: Note that there may be a slight delay between the end of the month and when the payout is available in your PayPal account. This delay is typically due to PayPal's processing time or any necessary reconciliation on Uscreen's end.

  • Fees: Payout amounts are net of all processing and dispute fees. For more information please review our fee schedule

  • Transaction Visibility: You can view all completed transactions, pending transactions, and payout history in the Earnings section of your Uscreen dashboard. This will give you a clear overview of what has been earned and what is set to be paid out.

If you have any issues or need further clarification regarding your payout status under the Legacy PayPal integration, please contact billing@uscreen.tv.

⚡ PayPal 2.0

The new PayPal 2.0 integration has streamlined the payout process to provide faster and more direct payments to your PayPal account. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Direct Payments: With PayPal 2.0, all customer transactions are sent directly to your PayPal account at the time of sale. This means that there is no need to wait for a monthly payout from Uscreen — you receive funds as soon as the customer completes a purchase.

    • Instant Access to Funds: Since the payments go directly into your PayPal account, you have immediate access to the funds. This can significantly improve your cash flow management, as you don't have to wait for Uscreen’s monthly payout schedule.

  • No Middleman: Unlike the Legacy PayPal system where Uscreen processes payments and then transfers them to your PayPal account, PayPal 2.0 eliminates the middleman. Uscreen does not handle your funds, which reduces the complexity and potential delays in accessing your earnings.

  • PayPal Fees: Standard PayPal transaction fees apply to each sale.

  • Transaction Management: All transactions are logged directly into your PayPal account, allowing you to easily track payments, refunds, and any disputes. You can still access a summary of your sales and performance in the Sales section of your Uscreen dashboard for a consolidated view.
