Continue Watching Category

Allow your members to easily resume videos they've started but haven't finished watching

Updated yesterday

When enabled, this feature automatically tracks videos that members have watched for at least 10 seconds but haven't completed. The section displays the last videos viewed, with a progress bar on thumbnails showing how much of each video has been watched.

📝 NOTE: The Continue Watching is a dynamic category in the Catalog and may vary from one member to another when impersonating their accounts.

Enable the Feature

  1. Navigate to Website

  2. Click Catalog

  3. Scroll down to the Features section

  4. Toggle Show Continue Watching

  5. Click Save & Apply

📝 NOTE: The Continue Watching option is controlled globally. When enabled, it applies to all platforms where your content is available.

Web Experience

  • The Continue Watching section appears above all other categories on the Catalog

  • Members can click on any video to resume watching from where they left off

  • Progress bars on thumbnails show how much of each video has been watched

  • Videos that are fully watched (or within 5 seconds of completion) will automatically disappear from this section

Mobile Apps (iOS and Android)

  • Works similarly to the website experience

  • Live events are automatically filtered out from the Continue Watching section

TV Apps

  • Available on Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, and Android TV

  • For collections on tvOS, clicking on a collection in Continue Watching takes you to the collection rather than resuming the specific video

📝 NOTE: The feature works automatically, so members may not manually add or remove videos from the category unless they watch the videos.

FAQs

Why don't completed videos disappear from Continue Watching?

Videos will automatically disappear when fully watched or within 5 seconds of completion.

Why don't videos in collections resume properly on TV apps?

On some TV platforms, particularly tvOS, clicking on a collection in Continue Watching takes you to the collection rather than resuming the specific video. This is a known limitation that we're working to improve.
