What Is Watch History?
Watch History gives your members a complete record of everything they've watched over the past 12 months.
It makes it easy for them to pick up where they left off, revisit content they enjoyed, and stay on track with their learning or fitness journey, creating a Netflix-style experience that keeps them engaged with your library.
Watch History improves member engagement and retention by:
Increasing time-on-platform through easy content rediscovery
Building viewing habits with visible progress tracking
Creating a premium experience that matches expectations from platforms like Netflix and YouTube
Supporting learning journeys for course-based and educational content
Encouraging repeat viewing for fitness and habit-based programs
โน๏ธ NOTE: Watch History works seamlessly across web and mobile apps, giving your members a consistent experience on any device. Your site must be using the New Website Editor for this feature to be available on the web.

What Shows Up in Members' Watch History
Each member's Watch History includes:
Videos they've watched in the last 12 months
Any video they watched for 10 seconds or more
Only individual videos and not collections or bundles
Videos that are currently published and available on your platform
What Doesn't Show Up
๐ NOTE: Members' Watch History only shows videos that are currently available on your platform. If a video they watched has since been removed or unpublished, it will not appear in their history, even if they watched it recently. This is intentional, as the link would no longer work.
Other items not included:
Free previews and trailers
Videos watched more than 12 months ago
Videos watched offline that haven't synced yet (these appear once the member's device reconnects to a network)
Admin Settings
Navigate to Website
Go to the Catalog tab
Toggle Watch History
Click Save & Apply

๐ก TIP: We recommend enabling the feature as it's a common and expected baseline feature that members look for, similar to Netflix and YouTube.
