Moving your Google Play developer account from a personal (individual) type to a business (organization) type is an important step for growing creators and companies. It removes the testing restrictions tied to personal accounts and is required for all new Uscreen app launches.
There are two paths. Start with the first one.
Option 1: Convert your existing account (recommended)
Google Play does support changing a personal account to an organization account. Your apps, reviews, and history stay on the same account, so no app transfer is needed.
Before you start, have ready
A registered legal business entity
Your organization's D-U-N-S number
A verified organization website on the account
Identity verification documents, in case Google requests them
Steps
Open the Google Play Console and go to Developer account > About you.
Verify your organization website if you have not already. The account type option becomes available after this.
Click Change account type.
Select an existing organization payments profile, or click Create new payments profile. A personal payments profile cannot be reused for an organization account.
Enter your organization details: organization type, organization size, phone number, and your D-U-N-S number.
Confirm your contact details. Google verifies them with a one-time password.
Upload any identity verification documents Google requests.
Link the verified payments profile to your developer account and confirm the change.

Option 2: Create a new Business account and transfer your apps
Use this path only if the conversion option is not available to your account. It means starting a second account and moving your apps across.
Create a new Google Developer Account
Sign up for a new Google Developer Account in the name of your business. Choose the organization option during signup and pay the associated fee.

If you have live apps in the old account, prepare for the transfer
Before transferring your apps, follow all the steps outlined in this help guide (including setting up the payment profile, inviting Uscreen to your newly created developer account, setting up API access, and so on). Both accounts need the same settings to ensure a smooth transition.
Initiate the app transfer
Submit a Transfer Request. Google's instructions are available in this help guide. The request must include the Play Console account details for both the transferring (personal) and receiving (organization) accounts.
You will also need the package name of each app you want to transfer. Uscreen can help you with that.
Complete the transfer
Once Google initiates the transfer, you will receive an email at the address associated with your business account. You must accept the transfer for it to complete.
Update your app information
After the transfer, review your app listings and update anything that should reflect your business status, including developer name, contact information, and payment profiles.
Important Considerations
Data and Metrics: With a conversion, everything stays in place. With an app transfer, ratings and reviews carry over, but certain developer-level settings need to be reconfigured on the new account.
Policy Compliance: Make sure your apps comply with current Google Play policies before requesting a transfer, to avoid delays.
Financial Transactions: Payouts and taxation may fall under different rules on a business account, so review your payments profile after the change.
