Calendar Streaks & Badges work together to create a powerful engagement system for your membership site. These gamification features encourage consistent viewing habits, reward member loyalty, and provide visual feedback on progressβall while offering flexibility for real-life schedules through the Streak Breaks feature. This guide covers everything you need to know about implementing and optimizing these features to boost member engagement and retention.
π NOTE: Streaks & Badges, along with Streak Breaks, are currently in Beta. This means there may be occasional bugs, changes in functionality, or updates as we continue to improve them.
Calendar Streaks
Designed to encourage consistent viewing, Calendar Streaks tracks consecutive days members watch videos.
A streak begins or continues when a member views any video (from your catalog, live events, or calendar) for at least 15 seconds on a particular day. To prevent a streak from resetting to zero, members need to watch at least 15 seconds of any video daily.
π‘ TIP: This feature can significantly boost audience engagement and encourage daily video consumption, creating a fun challenge for members to maintain their streak.
Enable Calendar Streaks
Navigate to Content > Calendar
Go to the Streaks & Badges tab
Choose Enabled from the dropdown selection
π NOTE: Streak breaks begin from the day you enable them and do not apply retroactively.
Streak Breaks
Streak Breaks is a setting for Calendar Streaks that allows members to miss a day (or more) without losing their streak progress. This provides flexibility while still encouraging consistent engagement.
You can configure between 0-5 allowed break days for your members.
Configure Streak Breaks
Navigate to Content > Calendar
Go to the Streaks & Badges tab
Ensure that Streaks is Enabled
Click Settings
Select the number of allowed break days (0-5)
Click Update
βFor example, if you set the allowed break days to 2, a member could watch videos on Monday and Thursday while maintaining their streak, even though they missed Tuesday and Wednesday.
π‘ TIP: Streak Breaks are perfect for accommodating busy schedules while maintaining streak motivation. Consider setting 1-2 break days to start, offering flexibility without making streaks too easy.
Badges for Streaks
Badges allow you to reward your members for maintaining a watch streak of specific durations.
π― Think of badges as combining these 3 Cβs
Consistency β Encourages daily viewing
Community β Members showcase badges in their profiles
Completion β Recognizes members for reaching streak goals
π NOTE: These badges are only awarded for actual watch days, not break days.
Customize the Badges
Navigate to Content > Calendar
Go to the Streaks & Badges tab
Edit the default Badges or Create new Badges
Aside from the default provided Badges, you can create custom badges.
( More badge types are coming in the future! )
Label your customized badge and upload your own images. Examples below.
π‘ TIP: Badges effectively promote consistent viewing habits and increase content retention by rewarding members for their dedication and progress.

Streaks for Members
Each member can enable or disable the feature at any time in the Calendar Settings (βοΈ gear icon).
π NOTE: When a user disables Streaks and later re-enables it, their streak will not continue from where it left off, and it will start a new streak from zero. Past streaks will still be retained and visible in the calendar.
Web Platform
On the web platform, streaks are displayed in the Calendar View. The Calendar will show the current and even the past streaks. It also shows the Best Streak the member has achieved.
Mobile Apps
On mobile apps, streaks are also displayed directly in the mobile app calendar, a miniature version of the Calendar View on the website.
Badges for Members
Members can view their own Badges under their profile on the website or the app (Account).
Members may also view other members' Badges under their profiles in the Community.
π NOTE: Streaks & Badges features are currently not available on TV Apps. Members can still watch videos through TV Apps, but the views will not count toward their streaks, and streak visualizations are not displayed on TV Apps.
