Music Integration allows your members to watch your videos while simultaneously listening to music from their favorite streaming services.

Members can play their own playlists from Spotify, Apple Music, or other music platforms while watching your content.

Usage Instructions

Multi-Tasking Required

Members need to:

  1. Start playing a video in your app

  2. Switch to their music app (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)

  3. Select and play their music

  4. Return to your app, where both audio streams will play simultaneously

Advanced Audio Controls

With Music Integration, your audience can:

  • Hear both audio streams at the same time

  • Set the ideal balance between your default audio and their music

  • Stay immersed in your content while enjoying their personal soundtrack

The volume controls work as follows:

  • The volume icon allows you to mute/unmute the video audio

  • The volume slider under Music controls your video's audio level

  • The Audio Ducking toggle automatically fades the audio of your external app so you can hear the video's audio more clearly


Curated Playlists

๐ŸŽง Want to suggest music that pairs perfectly with your content?

You can add playlist links to your video descriptions that members can tap to open directly in their music app.

  1. Create a playlist in Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, etc.

  2. Copy the public playlist link

  3. Navigate to Content > Videos

  4. Find and edit the video where you want to feature your playlist

  5. Paste the link into the Music Playlist card in your video settings

  6. Click Save Changes

๐Ÿ’ก TIP: You can also use any public playlist from your music app, even if you didn't create it yourself.


Technical Specifications

  • Available on iOS and Android mobile apps

  • Members must have their own accounts with music streaming services

  • AirPlay and Chromecast restrictions: When using these features, only one audio source can be cast at a time

  • AirPod controls: If Allow Background Audio is enabled in More > Playback, the play/pause function of AirPods will control the background music instead of the video

Members can use Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, or any other music app installed on their device.

Is Music Integration available on the web platform?

Currently, Music Integration is only available on iOS and Android mobile apps. Members may freely play music from another website anytime while playing your content on a web browser.

Can I add my own background music to videos instead?
