While you can cancel or revoke a user's access without deleting their account, there may be situations where you need or choose to permanently delete a user’s account, such as in response to a GDPR request to clear all of a user’s personal data.
NOTE: Deleting the account of a customer will immediately revoke the subscription purchased from the website.
For those who purchased via the app, please advise the user to cancel the in-app subscription before deleting their account.
Direct Option
Navigate to the People
Search for the user you want to delete
Click the ellipsis and select Delete
From within the Account
Navigate to the People
Search for the user you want to delete and click Edit
Click More Actions and select Delete
From the User Dashboard
Admins can impersonate the user or guide the user to delete their account on their own.
Access the User Dashboard (Profile) at https://yourstorefront.com/account/profile
Scroll all the way down to Danger Zone and click Delete My Account
Tick the checkbox to confirm and click Delete Account
A confirmation message will appear and redirect the user back to the Catalog.
WARNING: If an account gets deleted, it will no longer be possible to process a refund via Uscreen. All identifying records of the user will be removed.
Deleting a user is a permanent action with significant impact, so it should be done only with extreme caution and after all other options have been considered.
