My Library Category

Helps your customers easily find and access their purchased content

My Library is a feature designed to help your customers quickly locate and access individual videos, collections, or bundles they've purchased.

It is a dynamic section that automatically appears at the top of your members' catalog page, providing a dedicated space for their purchased content.

💡 TIP: My Library also has a dedicated page that can be accessed through https://yourstorefront.com/library.


Enabling or Disabling My Library

  1. Navigate to Website

  2. Go to the Catalog tab

  3. Scroll down to the Features card

  4. Tick Show My Library to enable the feature

  5. Click Save & Apply

ℹ️ INFO: The feature can be enabled or disabled at any time, and toggling the option does not affect the access and purchases of the customers.


How My Library Works

When the option is enabled, My Library automatically appears in these situations:

  • When a customer purchases an individual video

  • When a customer purchases a collection

  • When a customer purchases a bundle

  • When a customer has both a subscription and individual purchases

ℹ️ INFO: Even if a customer has an active subscription, My Library will still appear and show their other individual purchases, helping them easily find that specific content.

Filtering in My Library (Web)

Members can use the same catalog filters (e.g., Level, Style, Duration) while browsing My Library

📝 NOTE: Filters only appear when a member has 20 or more videos in their My Library. The filters can help members narrow down the list, but the content order itself remains based on when videos were created/uploaded in the store.

Content Organization in My Library

Content in My Library is displayed in chronological order based on when they were created/uploaded in your store, with the most recent content appearing first.

📝 NOTE: The order of the videos cannot be manually changed. This is an intended behavior since the My Library is dynamic and its contents vary from one user to another.

Position a Content by Re-uploading

If you want specific content to appear as the first in the My Library for all customers who purchased it, consider re-uploading it as a new item, which will place it at the beginning of the list.

Sequence by Collection Playlist

You may consider grouping videos inside a collection to force them to play in sequential order. This can be very handy when offering the videos as bundles.

My Library on Native Apps

The My Library feature is also available on your mobile and TV apps, providing a consistent experience across all platforms.

  • Mobile Apps: My Library appears as a section at the top of the catalog

  • TV Apps: My Library is accessible through the main navigation


FAQs

Can I manually add content to a customer's My Library?

Yes, you can manually grant access to content by editing a user's profile in the People page. The content will then appear in their My Library.

What happens if I add new content to a purchased bundle?

When you add new content to a bundle, it automatically appears in the My Library section of customers who have purchased that bundle.

Can customers organize or sort their My Library content?

Currently, customers cannot manually organize content in their My Library. The content is displayed in order from most recent to oldest based on when it was created/uploaded.

Is there a limit to how many items can appear in My Library?

There is no hard limit to the number of items that can appear in My Library. For customers with many purchases, pagination is supported to allow browsing through all content.

Why don’t I see filters in My Library?

My Library filters only appear when a member has 20 or more videos in their My Library. If the member has fewer than 20 items, the filter controls won’t be shown.

If you’re testing this as an admin, try impersonating a member who has 20+ library videos, or granting the member access to more videos so their My Library reaches the threshold.

What do members see if their My Library is empty?

If a member hasn’t purchased (or been granted access to) any videos, collections, or bundles yet, My Library will show an empty state instead of a list of content.

Once the member purchases content (or you manually grant access), the content will appear in My Library automatically.
