Limitations When Switching Payment Methods

It's crucial to inform your customers about these important limitations when switching between payment methods.

  • Due to technical limitations between Stripe and PayPal, users cannot switch from a credit card to PayPal or vice versa for an active subscription

  • If a user wants to change from a credit card to PayPal (or vice versa), admins can

    1. Revoke the active subscription

    2. Have the user update, resubscribe, and choose their preferred payment method during checkout

  • This limitation applies to all active subscriptions and cannot be overridden
