You may sometimes want or need to manually add new members to your storefront, whether inviting a select few or onboarding a large group.
Uscreen's Add Member flow makes it easy to invite users one at a time or in bulk with a streamlined step-by-step wizard.

Add Member Wizard
Step 1: Start the Add Member Flow
Navigate to People
Click Add Member

Step 2: Choose Member Type
Select how you want to add members:
Single Member: Invite a single member
Bulk Invite: Invite multiple members by uploading a CSV

Step 3: Add Member Details
For Single Member:
Fill in the following information:
Name: The member's full name
Email (required): The member's email address
Add tags (optional): Select tags to organize and segment this member
Subscription access (optional): Select which subscription plan to grant access to
Bundle access (optional): Select which bundle(s) to grant access to

๐ก TIP: You can grant product access immediately during the invite process, or add it later from the member's profile.

For Bulk Invite:
Click Download Sample CSV to get a template
Fill in the template with member information:
Column A: Name
Column B: Email Address
Save the file in CSV format
Click Choose File and select your CSV file
Wait for the file to upload
Optionally, apply settings to all members in your CSV:
Add tags: Select tags that will be applied to all invited members
Subscription access: Select which subscription plan to grant to all members
Bundle access: Select which bundle(s) to grant to all members

๐ NOTE: Please avoid adding column headers or extra columns in the CSV file and maintain the given format to ensure that the system can read its contents. Tags and access settings you select at this step will be applied to every member in your CSV file.
Step 4: Design the Invite Email (Optional)
You can now customize the welcome email that will be sent to your invited member(s).
Send Welcome Email: Toggle this ON to send an invite email, or OFF to skip sending an email
Email Subject: Customize the subject line
Email Body: Edit the message content

โน๏ธ INFO: When you leave the Email Body field completely blank (empty), the system automatically uses your customized Invite User template from Settings > Email Templates. If you enter custom text, that custom message will be sent instead.
Email Template Variables
The email body supports dynamic variables:
{{user.name}}: Inserts the member's name{{user.email}}: Inserts the member's email address{{temp_password}}: Inserts a temporary password for the new member{{passwordless_sign_in_link}}: Inserts a passwordless sign-in link{{store.title}}: Inserts your site's name

โน๏ธ INFO: It is ideal to retain the {{user.email}} and {{temp_password}} or {{passwordless_sign_in_link}} variables in the email body, as this provides the login credentials to the invited member(s). Uscreen stores passwords in a secure and encrypted way, so we will generate a temporary password or tokenized link and send it on the fly without recording it in non-encrypted logs.
Step 5: Review and Invite
Review all the details you've entered in the checklist:
โ Member name and email (or number of members for bulk invite)
โ Product access status (subscription and/or bundle access)
โ Tags assigned (if any)
โ Welcome email status (will receive or will not receive)
Click Invite Members
to complete the process. ๐
The member(s) will be added to your People list immediately. If you choose to send an email, they'll receive their invite with login credentials.
๐ NOTE: Bulk member invitations may take some time to process, especially for larger lists. You'll receive an email confirmation once the import is complete.
Key Considerations
Please ensure that you only invite members to your store who have explicitly permitted you to contact them.
To maintain email deliverability, protect your domain reputation, and avoid being flagged as spam, invite only members who have provided clear permission to receive communications
Sending emails is now optional: you can add members without sending them an invite email if you prefer to communicate with them through other channels
Bulk member invitations may take some time to process, especially for larger lists. You'll receive an email confirmation once the import is complete
Manually added members will not have any payment details saved on file until they complete a purchase or sign up through a checkout flow
You can grant product access during the invite process by selecting subscriptions or bundles in the member details step, or you can manually grant access later from their profile
Tags can be added during the invite to help you organize and segment members from the start
