By connecting your YouTube channel to Uscreen, you can offer free content to your audience in exchange for their account creation.

They sign in with their existing Google/YouTube credentials, get instant access to the content you select, and become a lead in your system, ready to be nurtured into a paying member.

How It Works

The YouTube Lead Generator uses Google's OAuth authentication system. Here's the flow from your viewer's perspective:

  1. A viewer clicks your funnel link (shared in your YouTube description, comments, or channel banner)

  2. They're taken to a landing page you've customized with your own messaging

  3. They sign in with their Google/YouTube account

  4. They get instant free access to the content you selected

  5. They're added to your Uscreen platform as a lead

πŸ“ NOTE: Since this feature uses Google OAuth, the login process includes Google's branded elements. These cannot be removed, even if you have white labeling enabled on your account.


Setting Up a YouTube Lead Generator Campaign

  1. Navigate to Marketing > YouTube Lead Generator

  2. Click New Lead Generator

You'll land on the campaign editor, which is organized into the following sections:

About

Fill in the core details of your campaign:

  • Funnel Name: For your reference only; viewers won't see this

  • Giveaway Content: Select the content you want to offer for free

  • Customize URL: Set a custom URL slug for your funnel link

πŸ’‘ TIP: We recommend selecting 5 or fewer videos. Enough to provide real value, but not so much that it removes the incentive to subscribe.

Customize Landing Page

Design the page your viewers will see when they click your funnel link:

  • Upload Header Image: Add a visual to make your landing page more engaging

  • Heading: The main message on your page (e.g., "Free Content for My YouTube Subscribers!")

  • Body Copy: Supporting text that explains what they'll get (e.g., "Get FREE access to 5 videos by signing in with your YouTube account. Sign up now!")

ℹ️ INFO: A live preview is available so you can see exactly how your landing page will look before publishing.

Visibility

When you're ready to go live, toggle your campaign from Unpublished to Published.

Above the Visibility toggle, you'll also see three stats cards showing your campaign's running totals at a glance:

  • Views: How many people visited your landing page

  • Leads: How many accounts were created through the funnel

  • Purchases: How many leads went on to make a purchase

Once you're happy with everything, you have two options at the bottom of the page:

  • View Funnel: Opens a preview of your live landing page so you can see exactly what your viewers will see

  • Save Changes: Saves and applies any updates to your campaign

πŸ“ NOTE: The content you select will be added to the lead's My Library upon account creation. If you change the content later, existing leads keep their previously granted access, and the change only applies to new leads going forward.

Sharing Your Campaign

Once your campaign is live, share the funnel link wherever your YouTube audience is:

  • Add it to your video descriptions

  • Pin it as a comment on your videos

  • Include it in your channel banner

  • Mention it verbally in your videos

  • Share it on other social platforms to drive traffic from multiple sources

To copy your funnel link:

  1. Navigate to Marketing > YouTube Lead Generator

  2. Find your campaign in the list

  3. Click the ellipsis (...) menu

  4. Select Copy URL


Managing Your Campaigns

From the YouTube Lead Generator page, you can manage all your campaigns in one place. For each campaign, you can:

  • View performance stats: Views, Leads, and Purchases

  • Edit your campaign content or landing page

  • Duplicate a campaign to use as a starting point for a new one

  • Unpublish a campaign to temporarily take it offline

  • Delete a campaign you no longer need

⚠️ WARNING: Deleting a campaign is permanent. All associated data will be lost. Consider unpublishing instead if you may want to reuse it later.


Finding and Managing Your Leads

Leads created through your YouTube Lead Generator campaigns are stored in Uscreen alongside your other members. There are two ways to find them:

  1. Click the Leads number directly on your campaign in the list. This filters People to show only leads from that campaign

  2. Go to People, open More Filters, and use the YouTube Lead Generator filter

When viewing an individual lead's profile, you'll see:

  • An "Accepted YouTube Lead Generator Offer" event in their Activity Log, confirming they came through the funnel

  • A direct link to their YouTube channel (if they have one), giving you insight into their content interests

Analytics

Track how your campaigns are performing at Analytics > Marketing > YouTube Lead Generator.

You can see:

  • Views: How many people visited your landing page

  • Leads: How many accounts were created through the funnel

  • Purchases: How many leads went on to make a purchase

  • Top YouTube Channels: Which other channels your leads subscribe to, helping you understand their interests and plan your content strategy

Nurturing Leads into Subscribers

Once you've captured leads, use Uscreen's built-in marketing tools to convert them into paying members:

  • Email Broadcasts: Send targeted campaigns to your lead segment, highlighting your best content or offering exclusive promotions

  • Marketing Automations: Set up an automated welcome sequence triggered by the "New Lead" event to engage leads right away

  • Tags: Apply a tag to leads from specific campaigns so you can target them with relevant automations and broadcasts

FAQs

Will my leads automatically sync with my email marketing platform?

Not automatically, but you can export leads manually or use Zapier to set up a custom integration.

What happens if I change the free content in my funnel after it's already live?

Existing leads keep access to whatever content they were originally granted. The updated content selection only applies to new leads going forward.

How can I use the YouTube channel data from my leads?

It's a great way to understand your audience's interests, find content inspiration, and identify potential collaboration opportunities with other creators your audience already follows.

Can I run multiple campaigns at the same time?

Yes! You can create and publish multiple campaigns simultaneously. Use different tags on each one so you can track which campaign each lead came from.

Do leads from the YouTube Lead Generator receive the default welcome email?

No, leads created through the funnel do not receive the default welcome email automatically. We recommend setting up a Marketing Automation targeting New Leads to send a custom welcome sequence instead.
