End-of-Video Share Prompt

When a member finishes watching a video, a Share prompt automatically appears as an overlay on the video player, encouraging them to share the content with others.

How It Works

  • The Share prompt displays for 8 seconds with a countdown timer

  • If Autoplay is enabled, the next video begins after the 8-second window closes, or immediately if the member opens and closes the share modal

  • If Autoplay is disabled, the share prompt stays on screen until the member dismisses it

ℹ️ INFO: The Share prompt appears on both standalone videos and videos inside collections. It is enabled by default for all members. You can turn it off from the Website Editor if needed.

What members can do from the share prompt:

  • Copy a direct link to the video

  • Share to social media platforms

📝 NOTE: The End-of-Video Share prompt on the mobile app requires app version 3.33.0 or later. Members on older versions will not see the prompt until their app is updated.

Disabling the Share Prompt

If you'd rather not show the end-of-video Share prompt to your members, you can turn it off from the Website Editor.

💡 TIP: Keeping this prompt enabled is a great way to grow your audience organically. When members share a video right after finishing it, they're at their most enthusiastic, making it more likely their friends and followers will convert into new subscribers.

  1. Navigate to Website

  2. Go to the Catalog tab

  3. Scroll down to the Features section

  4. Untick the End-of-Video Share CTA checkbox

  5. Click Save & Apply

📝 NOTE: This setting is only available in the New Website Editor. If you're on a legacy theme, contact Uscreen Support to have it disabled manually.

FAQs

How can I allow my viewers to skip intros for my videos with the click of a button?

While there isn't a dedicated Skip Intro button, you can use Video Chapters as a workaround. By adding chapters to your videos, viewers can easily navigate to specific sections, effectively allowing them to skip intros or any other parts of the video.

Can I turn off the end-of-video Share prompt?

Yes! You can disable it from the Website Editor. The prompt is on by default, as it's been shown to significantly increase the rate at which members share videos. If you'd still like to turn it off, head to the Website and look for the End-of-Video Share CTA toggle.
